Only thing i can think of is having a button dedicated to toggle hiding/unhiding your cards (as if they where flipped face-down due to an event/trap). Any smart player would assume some characters like Syura or Alte would have their hyper anyway when considering attacking them at low HP or with tons of firepower. As long as everyone's cards are shown, this isn't much of a disadvantadge, ussually. Showing cards isn't THAT big of a deal nor a sacrifice for local multiplayer, it sucks a little, but really now, better then not having local games AT ALL. People who have issues with local multiplayer can just not play it. There were strategies that became unviable but the games were still fun. Strategy games were built around a fog of war and local multiplayer lets people know where you are or what you are planning on doing, but it doesn't stop people from having fun on with friends.Įdit: Most of these games were not even balanced around local multiplayer actually. You're supposed to be having fun with your friends, no one should take games that seriously with family & friends IRL. It's just such an awful excuse to not have local multiplayer.
